Taylor men’s lacrosse is beginning to slow down after their blistering start to a record-setting season. Taylor will, however, have an opportunity to host a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament game for the first time in program history if they are able to defeat one of their last two opponents: Michigan-Dearborn or No. 1 Madonna.
As the flowers bloom and temperatures are finally heating up, the Taylor women’s and men’s golf teams are heating up as well. Senior Shayne Lim finished in second place for the women, just one stroke behind first.
Harrell, a junior, sits as the all-time leader in saves for the program with 467. This season, he has 107 saves through seven games, giving him 15.3 saves per game with nine games left on the year. He is currently on pace to save nearly 250 shots on goal this season.
The team has already accomplished an impressive season. They will have an opportunity to compete at nationals which is a feat the team has never accomplished beforehand.
Taylor opened the season with their highest ranking ever as a program, debuting at No. 10.They proved they earned that ranking in their first game of the season when they knocked off No. 4 Webber International in double overtime, securing the biggest upset win in program history.
As the Taylor men’s basketball regular season comes to a close, the team clinched fifth place in the Crossroads League standings, setting themselves up for a deep run in the postseason.Their record currently sits at 19-9 (11-7) on the season.
