Taylor fall sports’ seasons are nearing the halfway point and teams are eyeing the postseasons in their respective schedules. Records are being broken, national awards are being won and spots in the national polls are being claimed. Here’s a look at how each team has performed so far, along with important dates and matchups for the rest of the fall.
When moving to a new place, it is crucial to find community. One good way to be proactive in seeking out community outside of Taylor is finding a church home for the years you call Upland home.
Taylor University has long held shows and galleries to display the work of students, featured artists and community members. The most recent show, still open for viewing until its closing reception on Oct. 9, is the 2021 Alumni Art & Design Exhibition.
The Taylor volleyball team defeated No. 16 ranked and Grant County rival Indiana Wesleyan in a five-set thriller on Sept. 18.
The Lady Trojans’ soccer team has seamlessly continued their success from last year into this season, their latest win being against Georgetown College, winning by a 2-0 score.
Men’s and women’s cross country opened their seasons on Sept. 10 in the annual Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational. Both teams saw a plethora of personal bests as the men’s team came in second place and the women’s team finished first.
On Aug. 2, Taylor began a partnership with Indiana University (IU) Health to provide full-time in-person care to students.
This fall, Taylor is welcoming 403 freshmen to campus, 10 percent of whom have never visited campus.
Not uncommon for these days, there was uncertainty about whether there would be a full season of athletics this year at Taylor, but as the spring semester winds down, every varsity sport was able to compete in a mostly full season.
