Taylor University is establishing its PREACH Initiative to provide resources to encourage compelling preaching after receiving a $1.25 Million Lilly Endowment Grant.
Taylor University raised $1.9 million during the annual I Love TU week from April 29 to May 3. This event is Taylor’s largest annual fundraising campaign, with a goal to raise $250,000 over the course of five days.

The special chapel service was a feature of Grandparents Day, where the university welcomed students’ grandparents onto campus, and also TUGather, which is a campus-wide experience packed with events for all to enjoy. Five hundred grandparents and 1500 additional guests were present on campus, according to the university’s announcements.
On April 30 at 4:35 p.m., returning male residents of Swallow Robin Hall’s second floor were informed by the Taylor University housing office via an email that the co-ed residence hall will be changed to be an all-female residence hall for the 2024-25 academic year.
Rooms in the Randall Environmental Center will be reallocated to serve the new Master of Science in Medical Science and physician assistant master’s program. Construction to implement proposed changes will likely begin in December of this year, Matt Renfrow, dean of the school of natural and applied sciences, said.
The Memorial Prayer Chapel’s carpet stains, odor and scattered crumbled paper testify to its years of use which spurred the cleaning initiative, sophomore Jessica Vieth said. Nine Taylor students traveled to Rome, Georgia, for a Winshape Foundation retreat, led by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). This retreat took place from Thursday, April 4, to Sunday, April 7, and emphasized the importance of servant-leadership in the lives of believers.
Alongside TUGather, the annual Taylor traditions, Grandparents Day, is set to take place April 26 with the intention of bringing generations together, according to a brochure sent out to Taylor families. Grandparents will have the opportunity to visit campus and see their grandchildren in Upland.
