Taylor prepares for 2026 commencement

Taylor softball sits at an even 19-19 record, with a conference record of 14-12. The Trojans have employed a combination of strong offense and effective pitching to compete with top teams in the Crossroads League.
While the men have had a rocky start to the season, with an overall record of 4-8, they are prioritizing building healthy relationships with one another, along with strong work ethics. After the loss, the team swiftly responded with a 4-3 home court victory against Indiana University East, marking the Trojans’ first win of the spring.
Though Taylor softball had a rocky start to the season, finishing pre-conference play with a 5-7 record, the team flipped the script with the start of Crossroads League play. The Trojans have a conference record of 5-1, with an overall record of 10-8.
Thanks to a 93.47 score, the Trojans blew past Missouri Valley (86.82) and Indiana Wesleyan (83.20) to secure their first event title of the year and fifth in program history.Their performance marked just the second time in program history the purple and gray has broken 90 points.
The Taylor women’s cross country team, the No. 1 Maddawgs, traveled to Tallahassee for the Florida State Seminole Invite on Sept. 26. The Trojan cup is a campus-wide competition where five managers recruited teams to compete in several sports and challenges over the course of a month. The team with the best marketing of their brand and best performances in the sports events won a cash prize of 500 dollars.
