Grab & Go arrives in Euler this fall

Serves students and faculty in a rush

Help has arrived for Taylor students rushing between classes or labs to snag a coffee or snack, according to AVI Foodsystems (AVI).

This fall, grabbing a coffee or a quick bite between classes will be as simple as heading down the hall.

The Euler Science Building has welcomed Grab & Go this September, according to AVI..

A new café tucked into the building’s lower atrium, it was designed with busy staff, faculty and students in mind.

The coffee shop will be run by AVI, just like all other dining and food services on campus.

Grab & Go will accept meal swipes. Anyone on Taylor’s campus meal plan can use meal swipes at the shop; no extra cash or credit is needed for most food and drink items according to Taylor’s website.

Grab & Go will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  It will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

“The Grab & Go is opening up in order to help mitigate the business of the Jumping Bean,” Annie Meldrum, student supervisor of the Jumping Bean, said. “We need some business taken off our shoulders a little bit.”

Drinks such as espressos, lattes, americanos and macchiatos will be available. Pastries, sandwiches and salads will also be available, she said.

“It helps allow people to be able to get food or a drink before class than if just the Jumping Bean was open,” Meldrum said.

Not only are the food and drinks appealing, but the location itself is also part of the appeal.

The lower atrium of the Euler Science Building already draws people for its bright window lighting and open seating.

“I have really enjoyed the new coffee shop in Euler,” Claire Bailey, junior nursing major whose classes are mainly in Nussbaum, said. “It makes it easy to grab something quick before class or during the break of my three-hour lecture.”
